The visionary designers at Artopz have come up with something pretty wacky – a computer lamp called the Minitopz.

Looking at a Minitopz for the first time, you'd be forgiven for not having a clue what it was or what it did. Perhaps you'd think it was just an over the top light bulb, or maybe you wouldn't even click that lighting was one of its primary functions. But whatever your first impressions, it's likely you'd hope it did more than just look pretty. And you'd be right.

On the surface, the Minitopz appears to be just a quirky lighting feature but inside it houses a top of the range computer. It's a package that blends contemporary design with contemporary computer technology. This allows you to own a desktop computer without having to hide it in your carefully decorated office.

The enigma of the Minitopz breaks down as follows. It includes a dual core Intel Atom N330 (1.6GHz) processor, NVIDIA ION chipset, 500GB hard drive or 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, built-in NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, DVD burner, Wireless, 6x USB ports, VGA, HDMI, and Windows 7 operating system.

It also comes in a number of varieties, which stretches from the standard desktop to their home theatre PC version. It costs $2,250, but at least you'd be saving on light bulbs.
