By William Stolerman The architects at MAD are pressing ahead with an extraordinary high-rise development in Chongqing, China. The structure will comprise 70 distinct, unique floors that try and blend nature with urbanity. Essentially, it’s a metropolis mountain. Each floor will be based on a curved, abstract shape built around a cylindrical core running right through the building. Each level is also rimmed with floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies, which should give the impression that the floors are floating on top of one another. The end result will not just be an incredible place to look at but an incredible place to look from. The transparency of the building combined with its obvious height will lend it delectable views of the city. You can only assume it will be top of the wish list for flat hunters looking for that little bit extra. For more information, click here.
